Common question that many of my beginner students ask are “How to get started playing the piano?”, “What should I learn first?”, and so on. I started learning piano 30 years ago with a variety of piano method books introduced by my teachers, and I found them to be a great way of tracking progress, and learning new skills each lesson for beginners. There are a variety of piano method books out there, and I shared an overview of the different types of piano method books here. Each series offers its own unique approach to teaching piano, and are a great starting point to learn piano.
In the coming weeks, I will be creating a brand new Patreon-exclusive video series, where I’ll be teaching piano with piano method books.
What to Expect from the Series
This series is designed for:
- Parents teaching their kids at home
- Adult beginners starting their musical journey
- Anyone who wants a structured, supportive way to learn
I will teach using the piano method book as reference. Inside our series, You will also find study aids, fun activities that I have created to go along with the lessons — These are extras that are not found in the book, but help a lot in learning, and making learning the piano enjoyable.
